La Cañada Municipal Golf Club was opened in 1982 with 9 holes conceived by the mythical American designer, Robert Trent Jones. It was the first municipal golf club in Spain and the second municipal course to be built in Andalusia. La Cañada is also the golf club with the second highest number of federated members in Andalusia. Today many new features have been added since the club began and the club now has another 9 holes, which were designed by the renowned golf architect Dave Thomas, as well as a clubhouse that rivals the facilities of any of the prestigious neighbouring courses.
The Almenara Golf Sotogrande has a golf course that is an authentic natural park with 27 holes created by the famous British designer Davie Thomas. With undulating fairways and deep bunkers, it is a challenge for even the best golfer.
